How do I get these headers clean or should I paint or powder coat them.
Are the headers easy to take off and put back on?

powdercoat them or just use some header wrap but that is a little more expensive i can get it for you pm if intrested

I dont know the wrap would look like.

Angle grinder with a wire wheel.

less expensive by cleaning it with a steel brush and paint it with a VHT flame proof high temp. depend on the color u like and sometimes they usually choose same as the color of valve cover.

I have never attempted to take thse off. Are easy or hard to take off and put back on.

The "stainless" on the Chinese headers isn't really all that stainless. I've had two of them and both looked like a**hole after a few months. They don't rust out though, they just look nasty.

Nothing like some good old fashioned elbow grease,

If you want a "mirror" polish:

1. Use the wire wheel to get the bulk of the dirt/grime/rust off.

2. Wet sand with 500 grit/800/1000 and finally 1500.

3. Wipe clean and grab some Mother's Billet Polish, it's about $15 for a smaller tub, but it's REALLY worth it. Polish it up and you'll get the shine you want.
