Wtb whatever I need to convert a 99 sentra sel automatic to manual.. I can't seem to find one for sale anywhere, but I've only been looking for a month. Can anyone point me toward this? Am I using the wrong search terms or the wrong sites or what? If it's going to be slim pickins, can anyone tell me specifically what I need, ie year range or model or whatever, or if there is a particular year or variation that is not recommended, etc? I don't know much about the JDM stuff, P11's and whatnot, btw. I read the b15 trannies are better, but are there that many b15 2.0 manuals to go around? Is it still possible to get front clips that have turbo and lsd and everything for around 3k?

that looks like a lot of MONEY for all those parts!

I'm thinking maybe a used sr20 with a manual trans would be cheaper.

You can do the swap for about $700.

$300 - Transmission
$250 - Clutch, Pressure Plate (possibly less, depending)
$100 - Clutch pedal, brake pedal, shift linkage, support rod, shifter bracket, shifter
$50 - Motor mounts and crossmember
$40 - New clutch cable

All the other odds and ends can usually be worked into deals with other things on the list. Most of your parts will come from junkyards or part outs, thus allowing you to get multiple things at once. I would also suggest getting an engine harness from a 5-speed just so as not to have to deal with the wiring of the automatic harness.
