Do all the sr20's use the same throttle bodies, or do they vary from year to year? If so what years are compatible with the 99 sr20de.

The automatic and 5 speed are only switchable if you swap the TPS.

Is there any benefit to be gained by boring out the throttle bodies, or aren't they restrictive?

Not all automatic TB's if any can be switched to manual TB's by changing the TPS because the housing that holds the TPS sensor won't allow it, totally different. I know this pertains to 91-93 Highport headed SR20's TBs. Don't know about the later Lowport SR20s.

so to be clear , for my 99 g20 I need a throttle body from a 5 speed between 94-99. I may by one for cheap just to see what can be gained. Every one told me there was nothing to be gained from boring out the MAF but I felt a difference so why not try the throttle body. I may just open up the mouth polish it and shave and polish the plate, as well as delete the coolant lines. maybe rig something so I can run cold water throught the coolant lines in the summer, who Knows what will happen.
