ohh i wouldnt bother trying to do that it would just be something else that could get messed up from hitting something in the road. and the cooling system isnt something you would want to mess. sorry for going off topic.

I feel like it would be easier and i have never ripped off my oil pan since ive driven so i dont think it would be too bad

tap the block ive seen 3 turbos fail due to the oil not draining properly from what ive read the oil pan is always full and the oil will just sit there in the line and never drain but its up to you its easy to tap the block

to bad you don`t have a lowport. i have a pre-tapped pan for $30 shipped, i bought it thinking it would fit my highport. guy said he had it on his 200sx for 2 years with no issues. i ended up just tapping my block. it wasn`t too bad, and you can do it with basic tools and a 1/2 in drill which you can rent if you don`t have access to one. basically you need a couple sockets (10 and 12mm to pull the pans),a 45/64 drill bit, and a 1/2 npt tap. its easy once you start and the bit cuts through the block like butter

Not that I agree with tapping the pan (I tapped my block) but you have to remember that there is pressure behind that oil so i dont think the oil would just sit there.

the oil drains by gravity there is not really any pressure involved
just ta get by how far do you live from orlando im moving there in a couple of weeks and i could give you a hand in tapping your block its very simple
