Has anyone with a NX2000 had a custom catback made for them at like a muffler shop? If you did how much did it cost and what size piping did you use?

I got my exhaust installed for $125 and I got my muffler for wholesale. My muffler is a rActive mufler. My exhaust piping is 2 1/4 in. The exhaust sounds GREAT.

Got mine installed for $60. 2.25" crimp bent. Muffler was 160 for a stainless steel racer design muffler. This was 7 years ago.

You could try the Courtesy mid-pipe, it's $189.95, mandrel bent, stainless steel, 2.5" in diameter. It's made for mostly Sentra SE-R's but it fits on the NX as well. I seem to remember MarC on this forum purchasing one, and having no problems with fitment. It is a high-quality peice. I don't know about the sound though, as I've never heard one in person.

I forgot to add that as an axle-back or rear section to your exhaust, you could try a Borla peice. Courtesy Nissan will sell you one for $400.00. All it is is a muffler and rear section. You can get one from www.nismoparts.com for $279.40 - the exact same peice.

Again, I have no idea how this setup would sound, but for all the money it would hopefully sound good! I plan on going this route...or at least with the courtesy mid-pipe.

My exaust is 2.25" custom, 240 dollars for muffler, piping, resonator, and installation. I love how it sounds.

Hey Silver SX
I see you dont have that cover thing over the headers
do you need it on or what?

Dude, the cover is simply a heat shield. When you buy an aftermarket header, you eliminate the heat shield. You dont need it on there if you dont have an aftermarket header either. It helps to keep temps down in the engine bay a bit because the stock manifold generates a lot of heat. But, if you take it off, no harm done.
