A question was raised on the dash regarding which helmets would be required for the track day. I just got off the phone with Kaye at Roebling Road. Either M or SA helmets are acceptable as long as the date range is in line. That means 2000 or newer. Also, RR won't be inspecting helmets or cars, it will be our responsibility to police ourselves. I am sure that we don't want any issues, so let's all be proactive here and get the correct equipment. And they don't have helmets available for rent at the track, so you'll have to make other arrangements prior to arrival.

Some constructive feedback for people attending the track day that are new to that type of venue.

Your car will have to pass a basic technical inspection, below is a list of things that should be in line when you plan to run yoru car on track, at speed, with others around you.

Studs and lug nuts all securely in place, no broken or missing lugs or studs.

No leaking fluids of any kind, especially brake, oil, power steering or coolant.

Battery securely fastened, you should not be able to move it by hand.

Seats and seat belts are required for both driver and passenger. They should use OEM mounting locations or a properly secured harness bar.

Brake pedal should be firm and brake components should be in good condition.

I have a HJC motorcycle helmet, and a O'neal off-road helmet. will either of those work?

It depends on the year of the M helmet. It needs to be a M2000 or newer. I would leave the off road helmet at home though.

Kinda of a weird question but thought I should ask rather than guess. My windshield mount gps has the ability to capture speed during a course along with the map. I would like to use this for simply comparing notes. Do you know if it is allowed? I guess an item being mounted to windshield would be my question.

Not safe and should not be allowed

Hey guys, I just found out about the upcoming convention. I was at Phoenix and LA, but I moved from San Diego down to Florida a few years ago. I was excited to see this convention is just a few hours away from me. I am wanting to drive up and join y'all for the track day only, but I have a few questions.
If I'm just doing the track day is the cost $99 only or $99+$25 registration fee?
I don't have my SE-R anymore, but I'd love to bring my Miata. What's the rules regarding rollbars? I've got a Boss Frog dual hoop that meets SCCA requirements, but I wanted to make sure that is sufficient. Linky here:

I ran it at Big Willow with the SoCal SERCA, but I know every track and group make their own rules.

I'm looking to forward to seeing some familiar faces at the track!

It would be $99 for the track day and $25 for registration. If your bar is SCCA approved, it would be acceptable.

Well, it's not SCCA "approved" just built to their requirements, but it has 2 hoops instead of 1 which can lead to some ambiguity.
Yeah, needlessly complicated and for that reason, I wouldn't get this bar a second time, but I have what I have so I work with it. It's definitely safer and more stout than the factory S2000 hoops and those are usually legal. I figured it would be fine, but I figured I would ask in advance. I'll sign up and I look forward to seeing everyone...

**UPDATE**

If you're only going to attend the track day, not the meet & greet, picnic, or car show, select the 'I will not be attending, Subtract -$25.00' option on the order form.

Thanks,
Chris
