We can talk at the races. I can get there about 7:30. Is that to late? This would be an easy way to do a SR20 meet for most people after work. Anyone else want to come????

If you add the price of Cams, pullies, etc and then you get 150-160whp at what cost? You do the math. Drop a DET in for 1500 for the engine and should get you 170+ whp with a very basic install 200whp+ is easy for more money. VE is 2500 for the engine and should get you 165-170 with out headers but a good exhaust. 190whp with a VE is easily in reach 200whp is a possibilty also. These are just Ideas. Lets not turn this post into a VE vs DET thread. If that happens they will move it. Both installs require other items (clutch, etc.) but that is the same even if you keep you DE.

I will repost again what is going on with the meet. Sounds neat and I wouldnt mind checking it out to get some ideas for my own car. But hey dont worry cause I wont be able to leave until like 7:45 or even 8. So I am going to see what happens first cause most of those guys dont get home till like 11.

Can you tell us a bit more about what happens at these things? Is it a drag race or part of the oval or what? What is the cost to spectate?

From what I hear at Langley, the track is split in 2 lanes (high, low lanes). The "Drag Race" is 1 lap around in your respective lane. Mostly street cars.
$5 to watch. This info is all hearsay, but sounds like fun.

Yeah your right.......its $5 bucks to watch. Its starts around 7:30ish or 8pm. Also its 15 bucks to race ( which I dont plan on doing) But I wouldnt mind watching. Either way I wont be able to get there till alittle after 8pm. But I hear that it is fun to watch and that alot of people go out there. But so far I plan on going around 8:15 for now.............I have a class that ends at 7:00 and I am sure I will be hungry!!!!!!:D

New to the boards... Hey.

As far as Langley thing goes, I show up as much as I can. Does your friend drive the gen1 or gen2 MR2? I run my SE(stock) and usually can make it to the semifinals. It is actually pretty fun. $15 and a helmet to race, and I plan on being there on 28th. Look for the 4 door Inferno.

Okay its raining today so I think it may be canceled for this week. But I wanna meet up next wednesday for watching some of the races.
It would be nice to see some nice Se-r's around. I saw one the other day in Williamsburg. It was green and had 18 inch wheels on it. Also looked good with the body kit it had............dont know who they were though-:(
But let me know who wants to go next Wed????
