I just lowered my car.
I also just hit a huge speed bump pretty fast last week.
Then this week i noticed something while driving SLOW and adjusting in a parking lot parking space. The front right wheel CREEKS loud... only on those slow turns like in a parking lot.
It doesn't shake, rattle, or roll any faster than that, and perfectly smooth on highways. Whatcha think it is?

Hey,
My shocks wore out up front and i took a bump pretty hard and ever since I have a creeky/clunk sound that is on and off when I turn the wheel at low speed, is that similair to yours? If so I think someone wrote that it could be a type of "washer" that fits on the strut tower mount allowing the strut to rotate through turns. If it gets "cracked" it can make a crunching sound at low speed when turning and going over bumps. Hopefully someone will confirm this or say it isn't so. They said the part cost like $3 at the dealer, cheap fix.

I may have a similar clunking sound on my '91. Only at low speeds, when turning the wheel left. A quick nasty clunk sound. The shocks seem ok, as they have been replaced.
However the endlinks from the sway bar are shot, and not mounted well either. Also one of the ball joints seems bad on the pass. side. These are possible sources of my clunking sound

About the squeak or creek or whatever that disturbing noise you hear at low speeds. now my S-er is a 96 but I had this same problem. I searched long and hard to come up with a solution. In the end I just completely removed the front suspension from both sides and checked all the bolts and seatings bumpstops etc. The cause of the problem, I narrowed down to a couple things. The first was the possibility that the top hat of the sping wasnt seated properly in the spring/chassis, which is logical because the top hat fits extremely close to the diameter of the spring and if it wasnt seated the spring may have a noticable squeak as it slid around at low speeds.
The next and I think the most likely cause is just the general left right weight distribution. What I have found is with a strut bar in place you need to make sure your ride height is real similar on both sides and all bolts torqued to the required tightness. This is what i am pretty I am pretty convinced of because after a good hard bump I get that noise every time. if you lowered with Ground controls Then you may try what I do and make sure the ride height is exactly the same and all your strutbrace bars are really snug. good luck I know it is annoying
