Picture this....

Your driving your 93 saphire blue nx1600, the rain is coming down hard, you cant see more than 15 feet in front of you, your going 25mph, thats 10mph under the speed limit, then BAM you notice a object in the middle of the road, you lock the brakes and begin to slide.......................

Thats right ladies and gentlemen, this fine night i totaled my nx1600, i was driving in the rain and bam out of nowhere there was a tree across the road, i locked up the brakes and slid into/under it. Broke the windshield, majorly fucked up the hood, bent the roof back... it was a mess. Lucky the didnt find my head next to me in the passenger seat, branch came thru the window and missed my head by about 2 inches, plus when i opened my eyes from the crash there was some jagged glass about 5 inches from my face, if i didnt have my seatbelt on, i might have a nice gash in my throat or my face stuck on the a piece of glass.

Then when i am filling out the fuckin accident report, my dad is talking about good thing there is no glass or anything in your eyes, and then sure enough i felt a poke in the eyelid, then it went away and i had the ambulence people check it out, the poke came back and then they flushed my eye out and then i went to the hospital to have to checked out more and then put some shit in my eye to numb it and it stung like FUCK! anyways then they told me i have a scratch on my cornia and i have to put ointment on it 4 times a day..... :(

this night was fun, so if you want any NX parts i will be parting the bi*ch out

The ironic/funny part is that before that I stopped at my g/f's house to pick her up and her parents were like don't drive and i was like well i am gonna go drop off my friend matt, then my g/f called my cell and was like my parents say stay at matts till it blows over and i didnt listen to them and look what happens....

Aww man that really sucks! Im glad your okay though. And think about the good side of this... you have a backup NX =). Your kinda like an Indy driver =).
Oh hey there is a peice I need too!
Its the plastic peice that goes around the shift boot (if you know what im talking about) It connects to the middle dash that has the CD player and everything.
One of the 2 clips that holds it into that middle pannel is gone so I need a new one.
So if you could check that to see if its still in one peice =( and hopefully tell me how much for it and shipping to BC Canada, that would be great.

yah, its weird when something really bad is about to happen there always seems to be warnings that stick in the back of your head....just be glad you still have yours attached.

Hey you just got the 2000 reciently right?
So now you can take some mod parts from it to the 2000 (like wheels) etc.
And for now one less car to insure =).
But if you really have the money, I say buy another NX.
They are so damn good. Sometimes I just go out driving for the fun of it =).

What's up LowDownNX?? i was driving home that same evening around 6-7:00 from WCTC, and yeah. it was raining so hard i was going 25 on hwy 16 home(oconomowoc) because i was hydroplaining at 30mph. then it started to hail, and i was like fuck.... just had to ride it out til i could get under the next bridge. it was bad. sorry to hear about your nx. i would be interested in parts, but mines so f'd up i think i need to just use it as a parts car and buy a new one. We should hook up sometime though....not very often i see someone from the forum who lives by me.
