On a ball bearing garrett unit its a must. On a stock t25 or t28 it depends on the size of your oil line from what i have heard. I always ran one with either set up ball bearing or journal bearing.

ooo...very smart!!

who are the 3 jackasses that said NO (other than the one with the legit excuse of it being internally restricted..)

i said no and i have no oil in my pipes or smoke as of yet. its the tiny gfd oil line, how much oil could it flow. plus i've heard a few times that it is drainage that is the problem, you can't have oil backing up into a turbo.

good luck to you... not sure what a gfd line is... but a restrictor is never a bad thing

thanks. gfd=gofastdepot i think its a 3an line?

just didn`t feel like dropping another 20 bucks on a little thing that costs 30 cents to make after hearing people did alright w/o them. with a bigger line it may be necessary

I run a restrictor. Ballbearing turbos always require restrictors. They need a lot less oil in the cartridge than journal bearing turbos, even though I'd still run a restrictor on a journal bearing turbo, as well.

if you run a -3 line you dont need one, if you run a -4 line you do need one.

also this is a hint for you ball bearing guys PLEASE make sure u check your restrictor every now and then almost EVERY ball bearing turbo that ive known that has gone bad is because of a clogged restrictor

I blew my stock t25 seals because i wasn't using a restrictor, so I would never boost without one!

Depends on the turbo and line your using.
