Its a frustrating situation... I understand reservations about tranny issues, but it really is a good deal for this car. even with the tranny issue.

i hear you. its a great deal in my book.

i couldnt get rid of a rust free 93 eletric blue nx with power windows and ac. every bolt on and a great suspension. cars are just not being bought up anymore.

drive it enjoy till the market starts to look up.

Yeah, this one has AC and Power windows as well. Unfortunately, I have to sell it as quickly as possible. My wife is expecting and we need the money...

is this tranny any stronger than a b13 or b14 i see it has the same issue with 5th gear poping out my cousin is looking for a egg and has a det to put in it but wants to know if the tranny is any better than a stock b13 or b14

Anyone can feel free to correct me. but it should be stronger since it is newer but the main difference is in the gearing. More for acceleration

i'm no expert, but from what do know this is a "better" trans. stonger because it can rev a lot higher and its a stronger housing. the fins also provide better cooling. the gearing is what makes it better for acceleration. 5th bear pop out also seems uncommon for this trans, dont know how to explain that.

with the proper tune this motor and trans can rev safely to 9k.

SPECALK: anything you can add?

a 16ve tranny is really no good for a turbo motor. being the gears are so short that a turbo motor will roast right threw the first 3 gear with no traction.

turbo cars are better suited with long geared trannys. all motor cars are better suited with short geared trannys like the 16ve.

A few questions:

The brownish colour from the hood hinge area, is this rust, or leaves?

Do you have pics of the common rust spots? (spare tire well, rear strut towers viewed from the inside of the car with the carpet pulled back, A-pillars, door jambs, rear quarter panel, third brake light)

It appears that the car has been repainted. Do you know if any rust was fixed before the paint job?

How long has the engine been in the car? Who rebuilt it? What ECU is running the engine?

How long has the car been sitting for?

Thanks.

honestly, not so well. but only because it is out of a canadian car... It isnt calibrated right. thats why I have the analog cluster as well to go with the car.
