Hey guys i have a question for you? How much does a sr20det engine swap go for i got quoted for 7112 for a coplete swap total that included engine,front mounted intercooler, hks blow off valve,apeix boost and egt gauges, new cat, and new exhaust. if this is a decent price then fine but if there are people in the tristae area that can to this for cheaper write back. The company i might get this done by is performance factory in nyc. Thanks

First do a search, im sure u can find out lots of info on costs. I think a DET generally goes for around 1700. Installation is maybe 1000. Then you need a downpipe, thats maybe 150, not to sure. Then you would probably want a reprogramed ecu from JWT, which I think is around 600. Then youv got misc. stuff and also the accesories like gauges, ic, bov, etc.

I'm sorry but I would never let them touch anything that belongs to me. They don't even show car and professionalism to their own project car (the supra beater), you think that they would to yours. And $7112.00 is a serious rape. I don't see how anything could come up to that much on a swap even from a Ga16 to sr20det.

Seems like they are charging a littl on the high side.....I have heard of around 5000 for the complete swap so I am not sure what the are doing?? Where are they located in NYC??

GTI-R or Bluebird DET? I have been quoted 7500 for a GTI-R swap from SR20development....

ok i have a 97 200 sx se and i put a bb-det. I use a 97 se-r harness and ecu(2.0l) You can also use your 1.6 ecu and harness but you are going to have to send the harness to sr20dev. to get it coverted to fit a your new det and send your ecu to jim wolf to get your turbo program and yes he does 1.6l ecu with a 2.0l turbo program .If you use the se-r wire harness all the motor plugs fit but sum of the plugs under the dash will not fit I am still figuring that out . I have my det running but at idle it run up to 1000-1500 working on that to.Well unless you really know what the hell your doing or this car is not your dayly driver I would have andras or jayson do the swap
