My wife 'cashed' out her '92 XE Tuesday (she's fine) , wondering if the cruise system on the 1.6 Auto is the same as an M/T SE-R? Anybody ever tried it? Just wondering , might attempt it this weekend.

George Roffe back-dated a cruise control into his '91 SE-R. I don't know if it came from an SE-R or not. He has a write-up on his web site.

I put cruise control in my car, it came out of a 93 se-r though. I think some of the parts may be different, but I dont know if the difference is in the part itself, or for the connectors. But you can try call a dealer, and ask if there is any difference in the actuator, and and vacuum pump, those are 2 of the main essentials, everything else is just switches.

I found an article over on SE-R net that involved George's car. Looks like it gonna be a pain if I do it. I still may try it.

George aint lyin, it was a big pain, it took me 2 days. I Basically had to make a new wiring harness :mad: It was worth it though.
