I am currently looking to buy a new car. Not new new but my first car. I want power but nothing that will kill me. I am a good drive not crazy I will not be using it for racing till i get more experience untill i get use to the car. I am looking for a car around $1000/$2000 area. I posted something before but i have to save my own money and i just got a new job. I thought my father would help me out but i guess not. I was wondering how much a 90/92 240SX, 89/92 300ZX, and 200SX what ever year that is best. That looks good. And that is around my price range. Also which one would be best to start with. Which one would be good for racing? Also I will be racing after i get use to it. I do want RWD because it just kicks ass. My moms 99 Cherokee Sport is crazy @ RWD even better at AWD. Just wondering if you guys can give me ur opinions... up's and down's to all the cars sorry for this being so long. Thanx for reading

It would be hard to get any of those cars for that kind of money.
But you might be able to get a used up 240 for that amount and do a DET swap.

You might be able to get a total POS 89 300zx for 1k. But a 90, no way. My boyfriend's busted up 1990 NA 300zx was even 3400! It would be very hard to find a 95-98 200sx for under 5k unless you want the old style 200sx with the v6 in it. (I don't know the exact years, around 86-89?) But for a V6 200sx I would imagine it would cost more than 2k also.
And as for a 240, sure you can find a early 90s one for 2k. Might be a junker though. Maybe you should consider a car loan if your standards are high. Which it sounds like they are. But good luck.
