i have sold out. after building 2 400whp sentras im done. i found a 91 galant vr4 and am happy to own it. its got 15g's plus invested already and i have already started stroking it to a 2.3 with meth injection. no more broken trannies and no more crazy wheelspin. sorry guys, i love the sr20 but its time to change platforms. also, the vr-4 is an ultra rare car so its kinda cool to have my hands on one. hate all you want *** i know you will. but thats ok.

the dsm trans thats in that vr4 is about the weakest part of the car, im hoping that it was already upgraded. Was this travis' or (cant remember his name for the life of me right now) but he had a white one.

the 4g63 is a great platform, i'll give ya a run once im back in august :biggthump

I bet in a few months hell be running to john sheperd for a trans, dig deep dude  those tranny are alot more expensive to fix than a sr20 one is, and i persoanlly love the 4g63t motor, it is the strongest stock motor out there, can handle more boost and hp than anyother stock turbo block around.

the trans are actually very strong despite what people are told or have heard. it is modded slightly but still retains all the stock gears except for the front diff. it is the car travis had but it also came from our friend dustin first. i know where its been and whats bee done and i got it for an outstanding price. the only thing not ever done to the car is what i am doing to it. and it is a 4g63t block.

also, i shelled out for a b15 trans when i had my sentra. i killed a stock one with only a t25, sticky tires and heavy clutch. i murdered third gear, twice. no hard shifting, but in the middle of the pull. and this isnt a race car, its just a street car. but with a lil kick.

vr-4's are so sick. post some pics up :biggthump

well not all vr4's are sick.. i mean the 4g63t motor has lots of potential but the vg30dett is way better, get a 300gt or a stealth if u want to be rollin in style
but we all have to give props to the 4g motor, i read in super street that modified mag's AMS team of builders got 1035 php-crank and 647ptq - crank (w/o boring or stroking) and Import Tuners team G Dimensions built a redtop sr boring it to 2.1L and getting 827 peak crank hp and 668 peak crank tq......
-I thought i would never see this but the sr20 redtop beat Turbo mag's rb25 bored to 2.8L, which only put out 966crank hp and beating the sr's tq at 726 ftlbs.....qith the rb's rep you would think that it would smash on the sr.. but anyway, good luck on your new venture(better than going honda)

My Galant is up and runnin. The 2.3 stroker operating above expectations. Before it was a dog off of boost. Now with the extra stroke and 9.5-1 compression it drives great off boost and spools the turbo without even trying.

Here's a couple pics of the car.

The car hasnt ran since sept when i spun a bearing, killed the engine and turbo. It was a long process as i was either workin outta town every week, or unemployed. I got it running again on Sat.

Dustin? Maybe that's your name. I can't recall, your on POS right? Your pretty local to me, I have a couple questions about a car. My buddy has this SE-R you can see my post in the tech section. I'm trying to swap over a motor for him and having all kinds of problems, if you have any free time would you maybe give me a couple tips on what might be going on. I uploaded a video as well.

Thanks Bud!

Galant VR4are very nice cars and I have alot of respect for them. But just like any DSM be prepare to have some deep pockets. My best friend has a vr4 and has had it for 5 years and has also owned 3 b13 and a p10. The main problem I've seen with his car is transmission and diff problems. He is about to be on his 3rd trans and does not drag race and is very easy on the car. Also be sure to check the ecu for acid leaking. One down fall with the galant is they are very heavy. He puts down about 300whp and I put down 225 and still pull away everytime. But with also of work they can be once sweet ride. Good luck with yours. Here's some picture of his car last year on hot import nights. Notice the 5 lug conversion on evo 10 wheels.
