I recentley ordered a crap load of parts for my car , and the first to come yesterday was My Header. I installed it and wanted to race my little brother , because i had raced his profile before from a roll , and depending on the day i would pull him by a half car or he would pull me by a half car. His car is a 1992 Prelude Si , with the DOHC h23 non vtec motor , rated at 160hp and 156ptq stock. He has got a Aem CAI,DC header, Full DC sport catback exhaust , Advanced Timing , Aem cam gears , a no-name pulley set , cheap matrix coilovers , with Kyb GR2 struts. My car is a 93SER ,JGYclutch,K&N 3 inch cone filter with Autozone short ram pipe & MAF adapter plate,B&M SS
New LSD trans,Full exhaust to Apexi Muffler,JGY 2.5 inch test pipe,Advanced timing from 15-20, and a Top Speed header installed so far. We Went out to a road i know out here , that is gated , and its a straight nice road to the old bmx track with no pot holes or anything , its about a Mile Long. It usually locked but someone recentley cut the lock on the gate so why not take advantage of it?? On the highway we did two runs on the way there. Keep in my mind i havent raced him since i advanced my timing either. we went from 2nd gear both times , and omg what a difference the timing adv and a header made. Both times i went to the top of 3rd about 95 mph , and i was able to put a car to a car and a half on him. When we got to the road we were headed to , we raced 3 times , and all 3 times were preety much the same. What a difference racing him from a dead stop made. We both got good launches all 3 times , and in first , id pull out about a half car , by as soon as id hit second gear i pull him harder , by the end of second it was a 1.5 car length lead , and the end of 3rd , i had 2.5 cars on him. I was suprised i beat him like that considering he has more mods, and that his car averages low 15 second 1/4 times. I cant go to the track till it opens in march , but im wondering where that puts me at.

Yea the honda DOHC non vtec is pretty close to the same as the sr20, but the nissan motor likes to push out a little more. Never lost to a honda. EVER.

with the mods you have you should be in the 14's period, 14.8-9 on street tires.

Back when i had my first se-r all motor with full bolt ons including cams i ran 14.2@97mph in just a slightly weight reduction b13. no spare tire or jack, and no a/c in the bay. Thats it. This was on a 91 se-r with sunroof and abs as well.

remember that those preludes are heavy they are in the 2800-900 weight range and your B13 is in the 2500, even if bought cars were stock the B13 should pull more than the prelude.
