: Skyline tailight conversion???
94sentraSER 08-23-2002, 03:25 AM I'm just wondering if this has been done to a classic? I was thinking of doing it since i was going to paint my car next year, my dad works at a body shop and he can do the body work, i see they sell the Skyline tailights on ebay for like 200-350 bucks, just curious as to what it might look like, i really hate altezzas and i don't want clear, i guess im just thinking along the lines of originalty............any comments? thanx my fellow brethren......
Sr20kidD 08-23-2002, 05:03 AM noooooo
dont do it. it doesnt look good.. ive seen it done on one or two..
just get the tsuru rears and walla...
NJDYSON 08-23-2002, 09:59 AM I have seen it done on a b14 95 and up but not on a classic. I thought it looked pretty good on the b14. I not sure about on a classic though. I also have seen people put in tailight from a VET thinking they where good ol Skylines but the VET ones looked like crap. THe people did not want to here it when I said they where VET tailights... There is a very big difference.

hey man your in chicago im in chicago your dad does body work i need body work. :D
as for the tails no dont do it. i think itis to much for show depends on what you want to do. win shows or be the first to go.
either way i would still say no i think the car should have tits chassy specific mods and stay with them like the tsuru lights silvia front ends etc
94sentraSER 08-23-2002, 01:36 PM hey thanx fast91ser for the pic the lights look to be too big for the car, and that god awful wing!!! looks more like a machete than a wing, must be a samurai owner LOL as far as body work goes, we live in the NW burbs, how much damage does your car have? He taught me a thing or two about body work and i was able to fix my friends civic that got a big ass gash on the side of his door and quarter panel, a little bit of sweat, a grinder, some bondo, sandpaper, and some primer would do the trick lol
LogicalRetard 08-24-2002, 12:28 AM Wow, that is officially the ugliest rearend of a Classic that I have ever seen.

get used to seeing the back of this car because that's all you'll ever see of it in a race.

Sr20kidD 08-25-2002, 12:33 AM it looks tempting.. i retract my first post.. i guess it looks pretty good.. i guess the other that i saw.. was hella ugly.. hmm.. who did the back end on this car. the black around the lights should be painted white.. and the trunk.. looks cool.. how they go it perfectly shapped.. damn.. i guess that other sentra that i saw was all done wrong.. whos car does this belong to.. i would like to see more pics please
civicdragon 08-25-2002, 01:09 AM That rear is still ugly not as bad as the first... at least if were gonna see the rear all the time make it appealing to the eye... Anyway why does he have VZR on the rear deck lid? Pulsar VZR never came turbo they came with a SR16VE N1 engine. It's like putting V Spec on a 200SX.
Fast but still gay.

Agreed.
94sentraSER 08-25-2002, 02:14 AM yeah the VZR looks chump , but the skyline taillight conversion looks sweet as hell , now that i see that it makes me just wanna do the conversion myself, very original, if he would have kept the stock spoiler it would have looked even sweeter, only prob is that i have a 94, and my lights extend into the trunk lid, i would have to buy another trunk lid from a 91-92 and then install the lights with body work and all.........
Monsoon 08-25-2002, 03:34 PM i was about to say that the se-r you seen may be ugly, but it's incredibly fast.
just remember something folks:
to each their own.

The taillights extend into the dack lid on all years from 91-94. Atleast on the SE-R's. Check it out.......http://www.serhomepage.com/history/changes.html

Da91NX 08-25-2002, 09:44 PM I always wondered how R32, or any skyline tails looked on a NX. Anyone really good at photoshop?
