Not too long ago I heard a loud annoying squealing noise when I turn the steering wheel to the left. Just last week I noticed that my one of rack and pinion boots is ripped apart. its on the passengers side.

Before I saw the ripped boot I thought it was my power steering pump...but when I noticed the boot was ripped, I figured that was making the annoying sound. So there's no lubrication in that area.

So how in the world do you replace the boot? or the whole rack and pinion has to be replaced? Is there a how-to install?

Man I'm worried cause I dont want anything bad to happen to me while i'm driving, this is my only daily driver, and funds are really low.

Any help, input, etc. is appreciated.
