Sorry for the crappy night time cell pic. The elapsed time says 13:08.
Yesterday I drove from Long Island, NY to Hilton Head, SC. It took me a total of 13 hours and 8 minutes. Savannah is another 20 minutes south from me. Yes, my car calculated “elapsed time” with is the total number of hours actually spent just *driving*. With (frequent) stops - because I had my wife with me, the actual time spent for the trip was more like 14.5 hours. If you are a road warrior like me who eats lunch and takes a piss while filling the tank at the same time you can make this trip in just about 13.5 hours from the NYC area – viewing speed limit signs as mere suggestions also helps to get you there quicker. ;)

Thats not bad at all. I'm guessing you took 95 all the way down? I would love to take the trip considering it shouldn't be too expensive but its hard to trust a turbo classic on a trip that long there, abuse, and than drive her home.

Yup. 95 all the way.
I drove my non-turbo classic all the way down 2 years ago - no problems.
Just link up with a caravan driving down. This way you'll have help should you have problems.

I will see if this falls within my spring break during this coming semester of school. I know of a NE caravan going down and it is a possibility. I could put away some cash but its iffy. Definately so tempting. I am dieing to attend a convention.

I drove from New York to Orlando, FL before by myself since my other passengers didn't have driver licenses. It's not that bad if you take a break every few hours. To save time I get my meals to go and eat while driving. NY to Savannah is going to be a breeze, even on one driver as long as you take a break after every few hours..

It's a lot easier with 2 drivers. My best guess is 15 hours on the road from where I live in CT, a lot for one driver. Mostly that just hurts your speed, driving solo you need to take more breaks.
I completely trust the car however, it's had some significant maintenance work since 2007 when I bought it, and if I trusted it sight unseen for 3000 miles, 930 miles is nothing I'm going to worry about.
I got a used/new JDM 10:1 motor at 128k miles with the car, 12k miles later it has never been an issue. I flog it in the heat for autox (new radiator now, Koyo, and new axles), new JWT clutch from Greg V, new brake lines from same, plus all the usual maintenance.
It will get me there and back no problem with a track day in the middle, that's how I run now, I drive to and from track days, something really serious would have to break to have any problems.
My only concern is snow/ice on the front or back end of the trip, that sucks when you have 350 lb/in springs up front and very stiff sways, etc, not to mention summer tires...
