With no warning my clutch pedal got stuck on the floor. There was no resistance and the cable is intact. everything from the pedal to the lever that goes into the transmission moves accordingly. but when the car is on and the pedal is to the floor it wont go into gear. i am completely lost with no idea what to think. Any Ideas?

Its the cable, trust me,my pedal dropped to the floor as well and would not come up.I checked the cable and traced it and everything looked money.Went and got a replacement cable anyway from the local dealer and installed it (that little nitch to hook to the pedal is a PITA),made my adjustments as far as tightening and problem solved.

It my look like the cable is intact, but that is not the case.Replace the cable, only reason I did was because its the cheapest route to go as far as troubleshooting....

Check the clutch arm. It's the gold color lever coming out of the transmission that the clutch cable attaches to. Look for cracks near the where the clutch arm and shaft its welded to meet. I've been in the same situation as you twice and both times it was a cracked clutch arm. I've never had a cable snap.

i had this problem once and it turned out that my throwout bearing had just come unclipped somehow. it sucked that i had to pull my trans off but it only cost me 8 dollars for new clips from the dealer

im gonna replace the cable next week but my lever (the goldish piece that connects to the cable) on top the tranny is torn a little too. is it possible to replace just that part?

That is weird? My SE does not seems to have the resistance like my 200SX, but felt softer. Not much room to travel though? Is it the cable or the fork?

Dont understand why you dont just pull the tranny off yourself and have a look? Its really not difficult. The first tranny i ever pulled off was on an sr20, and i had no idea in hell what I was doing, but I did the clutch (first ever) in an afternoon. No biggie.

I would agree with scottnotbombs, im thinking its the throwout bearing...

It's the throwout bearing.. I bought my car with that problem.

My pedal is acting up to..

My problem is really bad though.. The whole assembly broke off the firewall and now the whole assembly moves instead of the pedal itself. It's so bad that I have to turn off my car in order to shift into/out of 1st and reverse. Anybody ever hear of this problem? Any suggestions? It happened to my friend but he was pushing 300+whp on a SR swapped GXE..
