I have a 92 nx2000 that I need to sell ASAP.I am gonna try to post pics as soon as possible.
I bought this car to fix up for/with my girlfriend.We got a good deal on it and I had alot of the parts it needed right away,so made an agreement based on her making payments,and blah,blah,blah:rolleyes:
Long story short,she didnt hold up her end of the deal,we broke up,and I got the car.
We(I) had done a whole lot of work on the car and threw ALOT of good parts on it to make a great,dependable car.....which it is now:D
Some details
The good
-Dark red,ttop,needs paint and now some minor body repair.Someoe(NOT ME) tried to spraypaint it in places to touch up ...wtf???Hard to explain,you have to see it.
-100% rust free FL car,probably its whole life.
-140,000 ish original miles on the DE,all stock.Runs flawlessly,no oil leaks.
-New front main crankshaft seal,new distibutor o-ring,lower oilpan has been resealed.
-new belts and hoses,rad cap.
-5spd....had popout,I swapped the tranny with a used b13 LSD with no popout ,new Nissan axleseals,and cv axles,Redline mt-90 gear oil new TOB.There is a slight leak from a sensor on the tranny that could be fixed easily.
-Power windows and locks...passenger side needs a window motor.
-Cruise works,ABS does not,but brakes work great.
-A/C should be an easy fix.I had to replace a broken line,and never pulled vacuum and recharged it.Needs to be retrofitted,I have the parts here.
-B14 front seats in good condition.Interior is 9 of 10 overall.
-Has center console and lid
-Has parcel shelf for rear cargo area,T-top shades
-NX floor mats,
-Dash is near perfect,1 inch crack over instrument cluster
-Hatch struts work,no vicegrips needed!!
-New front control arms,with all new bushings and new balljoints on both sides
-New inner and outer tierods with new PS rack boots(go over inner tie rods)
-New ES power steering rack bushings,New ES front control arm bushings
-Used lowmileage KYB GR2 struts on stock springs,front and rear.
-New Oem rear mount with window-weld
-Great OEM passenger and tranny mount
-ES front(dogbone) mount
-Matching 185/60-14 generic all-season radials on NX wheels....90%tread
-JVC cd/mp3 removeable face,front and rear speakers,and tweeters on the front doors.Also wired for amp already.
-Wired for escort passport or bel radar with mute button in cubby,plugs by widshield
-I have replaced the power steering pump and lines,starter ,battery,and alternator:eek:
The Bad
My ex-girlfriend decided to have a few drinks or something after work xmas eve,and spun the car into a ditch on her way home.
She was OK...and amazingly the car survived it well.
-Basically 3 tires lost air,and needed to be remounted on the rims.
-The exhaust cracked,just past the resonator.I put a new oem exhaust on that I had from another NX to fix that:biggthump .
-The front lower lip spoiler was perfect ,but now destroyed.The rest of the bumper is ok.There is slight damage to the lower drivers fender,where the lip attaches.I have both foglights,and all the pieces.One fog is still on the car.I may even have a lip and fender,too.
-The hood closes fine and is not dented,but now it slightly overlaps the drivers side fender,and leaves a 1/4 inch gap on the passengers side.
-We had a 4 wheel alignment done and the car still drives perfectly. straight,and does not pull,but the steering wheel is turned to like 11 o'clock position.I cant find ay suspension damage,but there is something wrong somewhere.I may get it back to the alignment shop before it is sold,maybe not:confused: I am sure they can fix it.
I would not be afraid to drive this car anywhere,it is mechanically sound and safe:biggthump You should not need to do anything to the car but change oil for a while;) A little TLC and paint and you will have a nice,dependable nx.
