Okay got the Pyle 3.6" Indash DVD receiver with Bluetooth to replace the stock cassette deck. Got the Nissan Wiring harness as well and everything went in pretty well other then the cables for the air system being a pain to get routed correctly.

But... Now that the system is in I get absolutely nothing on the LCD frontplate. Pull the frontplate off (it is removable for locking up) and I see a small flashing red light (about every 4 seconds) so I know I have power. All fuses and connections are good.

Anyone seen something like this before?

Pyle does not have online support but I have emailed them but I thought someone here might have some experience they can share.

Thanks!

With the lack of indepth Pyle Documentation I am not sure what the flashing light means. I was assuming it was some type of default light and being a computer guy I was kind of hoping they would have supplied something out there that describes all lights, clicks, and buzzes.

The installer used a standard nissan stereo harness to make it a cleaner and simpler install. He showed me the setup and it looks pretty simple all the wires match in coloring so it is hard to mistake which wire is which. I will get with him again tonight and see what he can do. :-)

ok,,, my tech is telling me that you have the wrong power wire to the ingnition which turns the unit on.... take a look and let me know,, I'll help trouble shoot it as I get the info from you.... pic's would be nice (of wiring connections)

BTW it's VERY rare that my tech will give out ANY help on forums... he says it's a waste of time for him because most forum guys doing electronic hook ups already know everything.... but thats from a tech that don't like to help unless it puts money in his pocket...:squint: ,, never fear Tearoff guy is here...:D

and I'll do the best I can for you,,

Check to make sure you have a strong ground as well as your power sources. My touch screen was wires perfect and it got power but the screen wouldn't turn on. Multi-meter to the rescue and a stronger ground was the solution.

I strung a seperate ground and it works now. Now I just have to figure out how to adjust those darn cables for the air vents, I ended up on hooking the main one by accident and now it is slightly off and doesn't smoothly move.
