I tore off the egr crap last night.Put in A new intake and throttle body gasket checked all vacume lines and it is still running like a pile of ass.Im almost out of idea's.The only thing that Im worried about is the timing chain. When i had the cams out I noticed that the chain was loose even with the tensioner installed.with alll the slack out of the bottom of the chain i had like 1/4 to a 1/2 inch of play in it.Is it possible to have it jumping in and out of cam timing on me.? Who knows. It will run good then bang just out of the blue the vacume jumps to 11 and it runs like hell.I have to push the clutch in and rev it up to 4 or so just to get it past the studder piont and in boost then it runs fine.?Help me i just want to drive this thing.
good bye.

What do u mean it will tighten up? I did'nt have any problems with the car befor, it ran great.I installed the turbo and then thier they were, issues.I hate Issues, They suck.I have been working on cars and other goodies with motors for a long time both professionaly and for fun and I have to say that this one is really kicking my ass here.If you have an answer for me Brother through it my way I will gladly take it.Haaa Haa!
Thanks John

when i revomed my crank out to put bearings in i had to take the chain off and when i put it back on with the tenstioner in place it had sum slack in it .Then when you turn the motor over it tighten right up and now the motor is running and there is no noises

I think what they're trying to say is that the tensioner is run off oil pressure, so while its not running its not going to be in tension. Is your timing set alright(at 15 degrees?) If it is , then its not timing.

With the timing chain tensioner, when you take it out, you have latch it in the back position to put it back in right? It unlatches and puts tension on the chain after you spin the motor over. That's why there's still some slack in the chain right after you put the tensioner back in.

Jmac, what was wrong with your car again?

As far as the Timing chain goes,I understand what you mean now about it tightening back up.It makes sense.and this was actually not a real concern of mine i was just running out of answers so I decieded to start back to square 1.Thanks to everyone who replied. Now to answer the other question.I put a t25 turbo kit on my 95 ser.JWT ECU ,j-spec cams, new 370cc injectors, front mount IC.everything you need to do the job right.I cut no corners here.I have been a tech for 8 years and i know all the basics plus some.Just so we all know that I do know how to put parts on the right way.Anyways,I have the timing set.I have checked for vacume leaks I replaced the intake and throttle body gaskets.cam timing is correct.fuel presure is at 37 psi @ idle.EGR is removed and blocked off.recirculation valve is routed back into the intake.now for the problems ,hee heee!!!! When the car first starts up it has -18 psi of vacume presure and runs good no drivability problems at all.As soon as the car heats up even a little bit.1 min max it looses vacume presure on my gauge and runs like hell.spits and sputters at idel all the way to 3,500 rpm or so or untill im pushing 2 psi of boost then the problem goes away and the car runs well.but not like it should the miss/ bog just goes away.At first it only did it a little now it is like clock work.runs like hell unless im in boost.when it is cold i can spin the tires like mad from a second gear roll when it is warm and running rough it just pulls when past 2 psi or when the miss is gone.I9m going to hook it up to the monitor tomorrow and see what i get.My throttle position voltage is right on but i seems like when i floor it the miss goes away like it is at an open lope at wide open throttle .I need some help here guys i got guys telling me i should have built a small block.YIKES WHAT THE HELL IS THAT!!
