So i have read classicaddicts great write up in changing the mounts however do any of you know of a write up to 'get me there' I have searched but cannot find how to get the mounts out safely from the engine bay and how to change the tranny mounts as well.

have found threads all about why it is an important upgrade especially for the tranny.

any help would be greatly appreciated

ps read before that for a DD it is best to only change two of the engine mounts but cannot find the thread now.

It is fairly simple. You change one mount at a time. Support the engine on a jack using a board under the oil pan so you don't dent it. Put just enough "lift" on the jack to take some of the weight off the mounts. Don't use a hydraulic jack, they sometimes sag a little under load over time. And, put the car on stands before you get under it.
