Are these worth the trouble? Also, where would you get the valve guides for these, since they are 7mm, what are the stock valves stem size? Just curious about this...gonna be building a USDM head soon, so I figure I might as well build it as nice as I can.

P.S. I'm planning on putting the titanum valve springs and retainers on there, anyone know which are the best? Jun, HKS, JWT...ect?

Sorry, I haven't replied, but I have been extremely busy!

The Bluebird Valves are Sodium filled to reduce temps. You woudl need to get the 7mm valve guides from either JWT or someone who can get them. The factory US valves have 6mm stems. They are a low cost alternative to Stainless Steel valves as long as you have a source for the guides.

Are you going to run titanium valve springs and retainers on S2 cams? The only time you should run those are with the JWT C series cams or other comparable cams, not S series or stock.

KA24DE 91- 98 valve guides are the ones you need for the sodiun filled SR20DET EX valves. They are the same part # as the ones from Japan. Make sure you get then for a 240sx twin cam model. It does not mater if you ask for intake or ex, they are both the same size on the 240sx

Thanks Andreas! Good to know. I'll be pulling the engine appart soon to see what needs to be re-surfaced. On the BB engine are all the valves sodium filled or just the exhust or just the intake?

Just the Ex are sodium filled. These are the one you get the KA24DE guides for. The intakes all you need to do is order standard guides for SR20DE.

Cool, thanks for the info once again. Do you have any BB valves laying around that you could sell me at some point? How much do those go for. Also, could you bore my engine for me when I do the buildup? I was planning on using 300zxtt forged pistons. Thanks again.
