Do you guys think it's a bad idea to run a 3" exhaust without a resonator? I plan to use a 3" Edelbrock RPM muffler. I think it's a 15" or 18" can. I've had very good results with an Edelbrock when I was N/A so I figure why not stick with em. Any thoughts?

I did a 3inch downpipe/exhaust on my GTi-R swap. I love the sound of it but it is loud. very loud

Ear piercingly LOUD. I would use a resonator, but thats just my opinion.

How much restriction do you think a resonator puts on the exhaust system? Enough to worry about, or a few ponies here or there? I really don't want a very loud exhaust :(

resonator wont lose you any discernable HP.

i run a resonator, and it is pretty quiet. make sure it doesnt rub or touch anywhere, that will make it seem like 10 billion times louder.

also, 18" can fits in there with plenty of room to spare. i am thinking of cramming a 21" muffler in there. this is on a B14 by the way.

try Dave's Asspipes.

I love the sound of mine!:D :D But man if u drive on the interstate for more than an housr u go def when u get out of the car. But it sounds sooo good.

Are you going to use this for track use at all and that is where u are worried with power. If so when u go to the track just take the exhaust off and run open downpipe.
