I read in an article about a sr20 rebuild that 300ZX pistons from a normally aspirated model will boost an sr20's compression up to 11:1. If this is true, what is the OEM part number to get these pistons?

It's not as simple as just buying the pistons and dropping them in. The zx pistons are 1mm overbore and you'll need to have the block bored and honed. JWT is the only shop I know with an SR20 torque plate to properly bore and hone the cylinders. Also, if you plan on doing this, I would opt for the piston oil squirters.
The pistons you want are from any 1990-1996 NA 300ZX. Make sure you get the set of piston rings too, since they seal better than anything else the aftermarket offers.
Hope this helps,

JWT and Arias makes a high silicon 300zx n/a(z32) piston, which is a lot better of a piston than a stock casted z32 piston & you won't have to mill the domes off of the pistons. These pistons have farely large valve reliefs too & are less prone to damage under detonation. Here is a pic of one of my pistons when it was still in th wrapper...

You don't have to mill off the domes of the z32 pistons either. If you do, then you'll get 10:1 CR. :)

Do these pistons require that the cylinder be bored and honed as well?

doesn't the DET block have oil sqirters. couldn't you drop the pistons in there with an over bore and and have a N/A ready to go. I think JGY has a DET block for sale on his sitejgy sales (http://www.jgycustoms.com/usedparts.htm) http://www.jgycustoms.com/Feb01_03.jpg
how much do the pistons run from nissan. I'm not about o get involved with a project like this I'm just curious in case god forbid anything ever happens to my motor.
