Does anyone have pictures of a PS short shifter when its adjusted all the way down, or the measurements from the bottom of the ball to the part where it bolts to the shift rod? I did the gheto short shifter mod tonight, moved the ball, but I just want to know if I moved it too far up. Thanks guys..

I can take pics of mine on my ride, but I'm not sure how it will compare to your NX. Do you need one without my knob or with it?

I acctually need a picture of the assembly out of the car with the ball adjusted all the way up, I need to see if I moved the stock ball in mine too much. Or if someone has one that they can just measure from the bottom of the ball to where the bolt goes through to the shifter rod then that would help too.

I had compared the height adjustment with SMC shifter. (And Pacesetter copied SMC anyways). When the ball is at the bend, the height will be similar to when the locking screw on SMC is at 1/4 inch from the top, which I like very much. Short, but not way too short.
I recommend placing the ball at the bend.

The ball is *on* the bend, but it all works good! I installed it tonight.First thing I did was install the heatshield, then I moved the shifter around to all the gears a bunch of times, so it would scratch the area that I needed to hammer down on the heat shield. Then I put it over an open vice, so the metal I wanted to move down could be purswaded(spelling?), and heated the shield up with a torch in the area that was scratched from the shifter, then proceeded to tap it with a hammer(I'm somewhat of a body man, so I know how to deal with sheet metal). It still wasn't quite right, I could push down on the shifter and hit the heat sheild, although it wouldn't rub against it while I was shifting. I put 4 washers imbetween the heatshield and the floor pan, that fixed it just perfect! Thanks for the advice. :)

After installing 5+ shortshifters, IMHO, the easiest way to do it is to just bend the heat shield until it clears the shifter. A BFH was our good friends when it comes time to do this sort of things. YMMV of course. And once you are in there, spend 8 bucks more on the shifter bushing from ES. A much better feeling when shifting.

Well, you can acctually bend the metal that NEEDs to be bent and not the metal around it, I think what I did worked very good. You just need to support the metal around where you want the dimple to be. I have the ES bushing installed, the shifter feels great!!!:D

where did you get the shifter from? I called summit and they said they wouldn't have it till October. It's just my luck everything I want is backordered. My pacesetter header will be 2-3 weeks from nopi too. I tried to tell them people just ordered them and got it last week from them, but all he would say is all I can tell you is 2-3 weeks.
