: SR20VE dyno a bit disappointed
georgemicra 03-09-2009, 04:30 PM I dynoed my car last Friday and the results are the following:
178.4Cv@6663RPM
139.7lb/f@6582
at flywheel.
Stock cams
stock header
stock collector
2.5" exhaust with middle resonator
twister cat up to 300hp
and pipercross foam filter.
What do you think?
How can I upload an image file to show you the graph?
eric96ser 03-09-2009, 04:42 PM Please do. What does Cv convert to in HP? If you are using that much stock stuff, you are not going to make big power.
MR-4Door-SR20DET 03-09-2009, 04:44 PM A good header and N1 cams would be a easy 20+
georgemicra 03-09-2009, 04:48 PM Cv =Hp Cv is hp in Italian.
How can I upload the image? I don't know.
By the way, have you heard anything about 20V/N1 combo cams?
donshou 03-09-2009, 04:57 PM You get the correct header you should be between 170-180whp.
gtirwezz 03-09-2009, 06:26 PM what are you using for tuning?
georgemicra 03-09-2009, 06:54 PM nothing yet stock ecu. The problem with headers is the clearance cause the engine is fitted to a little March k11 with a/c fitted.
gtirwezz 03-09-2009, 06:56 PM well thats why you are low on power then dude, although you say stock ECU, as in VE or DE ECU?
a micra with VE = win
GregV 03-09-2009, 06:57 PM There doesn't seem to be anything wrong with what you got. headers will make a nice difference and cams too.
omaritech 03-09-2009, 07:02 PM You need to open an account at photobucket.

THen upload the pics to photo bucket and then copy the http img link to the post.

GregV 03-10-2009, 04:59 PM 15%? iT'S POSSIBLE.
GregV 03-10-2009, 05:08 PM well thats why you are low on power then dude, although you say stock ECU, as in VE or DE ECU?

IMHO your numbers seem fine. You are right where i would expect. Add some cams and a nice header and exhaust and watch those #s go up dramatically. You could be very close to 200 WHP with n1s and proper exhaust/header combo.
GregV 03-10-2009, 06:09 PM Nice K12 with FCRs!!

That's awesome! I dig the little cars man! David in Scotland had a DET in his and he went from drag racing to roadracing. Unfortunately the car met a wall that didn't give much. david was OK though. The VE is the bomb motor for what you're doing. Get the bolt on stuff, get Bill (Nakos? powerland?) to tune it and you're dynamite.
gtirwezz 03-10-2009, 06:25 PM that is a really nice looking K11 dude :biggthump
