Been researching an AEM EMS and it looks like I can get it and get it tuned for under 2k.

What did you other guys get yours for?
Did your cruise control still work once you installed it?

I dunno about the cruise control part I will let you know when I get mine installed. As far as price I paid $1299 shipped for mine + AEM Air intake temperature senosr $60 shipped and GM 3 bar map sensor $70 shipped or you can get the AEM 3.5 bar map sensor ($150 shipped) which is recomended by many and which I'll be upgrading to later on. Thats all you basically need to get it up and running. I have been quoted $150 so far for tuning so you have to factor that in also. So you can indeed get it installed and tuned for just under $2K I had to jump on mine because I remember when they just came out they were going for like $2500+ for our cars then I saw a couple for $1800. I can't wait to get mines up and running.

Well you are definately going to need the AIT sensor and you could run it with your maf for now so you wouldn't need the map sensor If you absolutely must but it is way better if you switch to speed density (map sensor).

You guys need to shop around for those sensors better! I think you can get the AIT sensor for like $35 and the pigtail for $12. The boost sensor, you can get the AEM unit for like $115 online. BUT, there is a better one out there. I challenge you to find it. Hint, AEM used it when they first started.

I am in a gracious mood, so I will tell you that AEM provides startup cals again. You load the startup cal then make fuel injector size adjustment and the maf adjustment if using a larger maf and that is it.

Remember when you use the start up cal map for your Nissan, you have to down the timing and set the boost comp map ( if you're turbo) also set the idle map & fast idle.

AEM's Base maps are always with high timing, it's not ment to be driven with a start up program, hence "start up program"...worst case call Henny at AEM and tell him you just bought the unit and there's no one around to tune it and the car doesn't drive...yada yada yada and tell him what you have in the car... he could do a drivable base map for you.
