Taurus45acp 03-11-2009, 01:13 AM So, I went ahead and dropped a grand on an SR20VE...fuck..everytime i think about it I die a little inside...anyways
My plan is to just strap this slut up to an engine stand and just work on it little by little. Reason behind this is my current DE is tired, its got almost 200k on it and its got that annoying tick that is keeping me from enjoying it more. The clutch slips at high RPMS since I put the I/H/E on. So instead of just getting a clutch installed, it seemed more economical to buy the clutch/flywheel combo + the motor. Its got somewhere in the area of 55-65k miles, as most JDM motors do. Once this thing gets in the mail, where should I start? thanks

edit: getting the motor swapped is not going to be a problem, getting the VVL to fire is what I am going to be stressing about.

Thats random, never had that happen before. But it is a sexy ride :D

yea but i have a family and a full time job (and then some), so finding time for a big operation like that is a bit challenging.

Taurus45acp 03-14-2009, 01:54 PM well i told him to put $100 up front in order to take it for a test drive, and he did..said it handles like a go-cart and he is going to talk to his wife about purchasing it..awesome! If it does fall through im just going to leave it the way it is, ugly grille and all...no stickers or fancy rims..hell my exhaust is stealth fighter style.... I like sleepers :D

I live in corvallis, but I shop at the winco here quite a bit. so if you were near by you probably did..so the sale fell through, meh i got a bill out of the whole deal. Project "Stealth VE" is initiated.
