I dirve a Nissan 200sx SE-R. My check engine light came on today and I have no clue why. Car is not acting funny at all, it shifted wierd about twice this week while driving up the hill out of my neighborhood, it shifted to third and didnt downshift till I put it in second, when it usual goes to second (auto, don't laugh) but thats about it. Fluids are all good. Anyone have any ideas?

Check the code http://www.se-r.net/engine/ecu_codes.html and let us know what code showed up.

To get to mine I took out the plastic dash piece in the very back. Then there are I think 4 screws holding the ecu in a bracket. Take those out and then twist the ecu and you can see the screw.

After you check the code, when you turn the screw clockwise, counter-clockwise, that takes you out of diag. mode. That should have cleared the code also. I won't worry about it, unless the code came back.
