Well I am having oil blow by right now(white smoke). I dont have a Oil catch can hooked up. Just trying to find out how you guys relocate the oil catch can. Also I hooked up my oil feed line in front of the block(bb det). Will that cause oil blow by too? Also I am having trouble on my car I guesses its misfiring after 5,500 Rpms when the waste opens up. ITs not smooth at all athe way up the redline. Any Ideas........

I doubt its because you don't have a catch can and its missfiring because of the oil most likely. Take of your intercooler pipe and look for excessive amount of oil in them. Make sure on your turbo that the oil return line is free flowing and no blockage or kinks. And if you have one of those rice filters on your VC instead of routing the hose were it is suppost to go get rid of it and hook it up right (it will eventually cause you problems).

but, that doesnt rule it out.

i had a similiar problem associated with no catch can and oil consumption, though not to the point that it smokeds a lot.

oil, especially light oil, tends to get sucked through the catch can. during hard right hand cornering, oil tends to build up on the left side of the valve cover, for easy ingestion into the intake tract. also, the high suction created by our high HP turbo cars tends to suck oil right into the intake tract.

i ran my oil catch can as follows, and it solved a lot of my oil consumption problems:

1. place a tee in the tube that goes from the bottom breather tube (goes towards the oil pan, next to manifold).
2. connect a tube from the T (the side that points to the driver's side) in the valve cover to the T you just put in the bottom line.
3. connect the TOP of the tube to your intake nipple.
4. put a rubber cap and hose clamp the extra T in the valve cover.

Mike K pointed this out to me, and it works really well, i do not consume ANY oil since doing this. i also switched from 5W-30 to 10W-30 Mobile 1.

I know I'm bringing up an old subject, but I was hoping you could clarify some things. Do you put the T inline below the oil catch can or above it?

here's a complete write up with pictures that you will not be able to access because geocities is a bitch and will only let the first 5 or so of you log in... let me see if i can move the pics to my imagestation account... or if someone would be so kind... they could slurp the entire webpage and host it somewhere for the community :)
