are the timing chain kits for jdm motors(bluebird,gti-r,etc..) the same as us motors(se-r,g20, etc..)?

I know that the GTI-R and the B13 are the same. So the other should be really close IMO.

Any year b13 kit will fit all of the jdm turbo motors (w10-11, u12-13). IIRC The GTI-r has a different oil pump and spacer though.

I don't know much about the RWD SR's but I assume they are not that different. All Sr20's have a chain with the same number of links on it and sprockets with the same number of teeth on them. I think the rwd/fwd also use the same cam sprockets so it might work.

Yes. Nothing confusing about it. All the kit really consists of is the two guides, chain sprockets (3x) and a chain.

IIRC You have to use the entire kit if you go either way because the new vs. old kits are different. I think the old kits have solid plastic guides and the new ones are metal with replaceable plastic guides. The thing that is also different about them is the bolt that secures the guides to the block. You need to use the corresponding bolt with it's guide.
