Old guy

For those of you driving through Atlanta:
I met a guy yesterday who lives in Macon and works in NW Atlanta. He drives it every day and says that troopers are usually very active in Henry County (I-75 south of Atlanta) and Twiggs County (I-16 east of Macon). They also like to catch you as you enter the Atlanta area where the speed limit drops down from 70mph.
Atlanta rush "hour" is from about 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM. Local radio stations start broadcasting traffic reports at 3:00 PM.
Semi's are required to take the I-285 loop around the city, so it is best if you stay on I-75 and go straight through downtown. The stretch where I-75 and I-85 run together is called the "connector" by the traffic reporters. It is usually jammed up all day long.
