I have a 99 sentra SE. My Alarm goes off when I open my drivers side door but not my passager side. I do not have a keyless entry. I went onto just answer.com and the mechanic on there told me is was because into the drivers side door one of the wires is probably fried because of water damage or something. I was just wondering if anyone thinks this could be the cause or if anyone else has any theorys it would be helpful. Thanks:)

hey try this,,,, in your car the Left Front Door Trigger wire is located in the driver side kick panel (red/white wire),,,, check and see if that wire connection has been damaged as your mech. mentioned,,, ... next look at the pin switch in the door.,., they go bad all the time .... in your car all doors are wired up through the drivers door pin switch so alarm should work properly unless theres a wire problem or pin switch problem...... what are the details on when it goes off? when you open the door from the outside? from the inside? are you using a key? i know on my 200sx that if i play around with the doorlocks from the inside and then open the door it will trigger the alarm.

When I open my drivers side door from the outside with the key the alarm does off. The only way to turn the alarm off is to go over to the passager side and relock it and open in on that side. I'm tried messing around with unlocking and lock it to see if the drivers side would work but it doesn't
