Recently purchased a T28 from Louis, he sent the EX housing to extrude hone per my request. Here are a few pics. I thought a few people ahd asked about this so Ifigured I'd share them.

You can see the bumps in the housign are significantly reduced. You can't even see the .86 on the inside of the extrude honed
housing. Looks good, not bad for $75 plus shipping.

I thought that one (to get best results) was supposed to grind down the bumps by hand before having it EH'ed...
$75, I think, is an excellent price, too.

would he do this for a new turbo? What exactly does this do for a turbo? More hp or faster spool up?

What did that run you? I was thinking of having it done before I get back.

Is it good to get the manifold done too if you get the turbo EX housing done?
Getting AN OEM DE-T manifold would be very beneficial, however it is rather expensive to have them done I think $200 + buy Louis could give you an exact quote on that.
As for the EX housing, as stated, they run $75 plus shipping.
I hope it helps with spool up. Again, this is a turbo for my project GA16 turbo, so anything that helps with spool up I wanted to do right away.

The EH process on a cast iron manifold costs $385. It makes a really nice difference IMO.
