Hello,
I'm looking for a black 91-92 Sentra SE-R. The car was at TOTAL IMAGE Paint & Body on Rt. 11 in Loudon County, TN just north of Lenoir City. The car "disappeared" from TOTAL IMAGE's parking lot sometime in late 2007.
The owner of TOTAL IMAGE was paid a $1,200.00 cash deposit to repair the car and paint it, but for some reason failed to inform me that the car was missing from his lot ... along with a '83 Malibu Wagon roller (no engine or trans) that I left with him to paint. Amazingly enough, the owner also lost the keys to both cars at the same time the cars turned up missing .... and never reported the theft to either me or the Loudon County Sheriffs Dept.
The Sentra had after market alloy wheels, no air box and a K&N Air Filter and some light front end damage that involved the hood and grill and A/C condenser, but the lights worked and the car was drivable. I bought the car from the previous owner in Oxford, MI and never had it titled in Tennessee because of our initial plans to use it as a race car only.
Although I'm sure the car was stolen, I'm not sure that whoever has the car now was involved with the theft. If it can be proven that whoever has the car now got it from the person who actually stole the car ...... then I am not going to press charges against the person who received my stolen property. I don't even want the car back. I just want whoever has the car to help me identify who they bought my car from. As a matter of fact, I am willing to pay THE FISRT PERSON who provides me information about where my car is, a $500.00 REWARD for helping me find the car and identify the person who stole it (or sold it). And again .... I don't even want the car back (or what's left of the car back) if the person who has the car is not the person who stole the car.
My hope is that somebody who has an interest in classic SE-R's has this car and will come forward with information. I've explained the situation pretty well and I don't "think" whoever has the car is the person I'm after ..... but I need to prove that. The police have been no help what so ever in this matter. They have even refused to take a written statement from the body shop owner who failed to report either of my cars (and their keys that were supposedly locked in his office) as missing ... to anybody.
If you think that you might have some information about this car, please call or email me directly: LeftRoamin@aol.com
Thanks,
Richard
