Leaving for work this morning (in the rain :squint: ) and my clutch pedal decides to stay stuck on the floor. Not 100% sure what it might be yet. I'm hoping like hell its just the cable since I have an NX I can rob parts off. Its never done the grinding thing like most cables do just before crapping out, so I won't know until I look at it this afternoon......

Clutch cables FTL. I know mine's on it's way out, but I just re-did the tension on it and whatnot.

So the clutch operates fine just stays stuck to the floor? If that is so, all you need to do is tighten your clutch cable tension. If you are out of adjustment a quick fix is get some PVC pipe the same diameter as the black rubber stop on the clutch cable that rests against the tranny bracket. Take the end part of the clutch cable apart and slide the PVC down to the rubber stop and you now have a spacer which will tighten your cable up. You only need about a 1/2" length of pipe but it works great as I have been using it for the past month with no issues.

No, the pedal is on the floor and the clutch won't disengage....

Can you pull the clutch pedal back to where it should go?
Or would that not help at all?

So I found my issue. The flat bar where the clutch cable hooks onto cracked/broke around the post that goes into the transmission.

I have taken the next two days off work in order to fix it before the convention. I have a '92 NX I can rob that throw out bearing fork/post off of.

Does anyone know if that post is interchangeable between a b13 and b14 trans? I've always been under the impression that the two trans are the same, minus the sensors.

Need info on this asap!

Got it fixed! I just took the clutch release lever out of the car and had it welded. Just finished test driving the car and everything is working perfectly! I'll see you guys tomorrow!
