This ecu will work with the bb motor??
Can you use the stock DE maf with the bb ecu?

hey djisnx200,
I think your ecu is from a U12. My U13 ecu says 23710-1E010.

I am looking at my BB ECU I bought from Andreas Miko and I never even thought it being a auto trans ECU. My numbers don't match up. Mines reads:

23710 1E010 so what does that make mine? I need a manual.

Looks like you have the right numbers, you just have any extra 0 on the end for some reason, buts that just my guess. SE-R 2 has the same numbers posted you have, wonder what his tranny is?? (SE-R 2????)... Maybe charlie will grace us with some info..... INFO PLEASE!!

I believe that the DET ECU's that have a different pattern part number i.e. 23710-1E010 are U13 ECU's. I already know for a fact that the U12 ECU part numbers I posted above are correct.

For instance the turbine part number for the U12 DET is 14411-79E00. The turbine (center section) part numbers for the U13, W10, W11 DETs are the following 14411-1E000 and 1E000 and RR150. RR150 is the odd ball and I say that becasue it has a
70 trim vs 60 trim.

And to figure out is you have an AT/MT U13 ECU I would take and educated guess and say just follow the pattern of the U12 ECU's.........if it ends in 10 it AT if it ends in 01 its MT

Oh, my ecu is from a U13 w/ auto transmission.

I couldn't find the Post but someone was selling and ECU on ebay the other day anyways I don't think they mentioned if it was AT or MT...............I enhanced the picture of the ECU and I made out the part number to be 23710-79E01 which is a manuel transmission ECU just FYI.

Here is the part number for the Avenir SR20DET:

23710-WA310 Once again I know for fact this is a Avenir ECU.......just don't know if its AT or MT. I would guess its AT because just like the BB ECU ending in 10 but then again its a W10 so it could mean that also but the second clue would be WA..... (A) meaning AT possibly. Just guessing here.

NOTE: If you get an Avenir ECU remember the Avenir has an internal coil setup..........this will probably not work if you have an external setup (stock). I don't know for sure but I have heard that people have re-wired there distributor to accept the internal coil distributor. Anyone know about this?

FAWK, If you are right that means I have a AT ECU and that sucks. I need a MT and Andreas Miko never mentioned it to me when selling it and I never bothered to ask. I just assumed that a BB ECU (OBD1) would work, but I guess not:confused:

When i had my BB engine a few years back i believe the ECU was an auto as most of them are anyway. I just changed the auto tps to the manual one from the de. Should work just fine in your car is what im trying to say.

so is it okay to use a automatic ecu (u13,u12) as long as you use the usdm tps sensor?

I thought it was cool to use an Auto ECU on a 5spd,

But Using a 5spd on an Auto car would have problems (not being able to rev over 4k?)

Atleast thats what i've read previously on the forum.
