Has anyone had any problems with aftermarkets burning up the connectors? I bought some luminics and they are 45w/65w. I have been replacing the connectors for a few months waiting to figure out what i could do to keep them.

Yeah, silverstars are the best you can go without going HID; other bulbs just burn up harnesses.

I've had some Silverstar Ultras for about 2 weeks now with the factory harness. No issues.

I've got the regular silverstar and they are working great with the stock harness.

PS has anyone tried using a 9004 HID kit with the stock headlight housing and if so how do you like it? I am thinking about getting it for my B14...not sure though.

I have been running 9004 hid for about a year and a half, I have had no problems and there are very bright.

I have a 9004 HID kit for both my headlights and a kit for my foglights! I've had them for about 8 months with no problems. I used a relay for the headlights as the stock harnesses are pretty crappy but used the harness for the foglights.

You two that are running 9004 HID's, did you guys get the dual filament bulb aka low and high beam HID's? Thanks!

I went with a HID low beam and halogen high beam! Its on the same bulb. I personally want to upgrade to a dual hi/lo beam HID bulb! I bought mine from xenongate.com! Great quality, fast shipping and like I said I have had no problems.

I used to run Silverstars for 2 years before they finally burnt out. Since then, I've upgraded to an H4 HID kit in my Lucino black housing headlights. They are single beam and turn off when you flick on the high beam switch. I wired the H4 harness directly into the stock headlight harness so that it is easily removable come inspection time and no cutting was involved. Will be putting the stock bulbs back in for inspection because I'm almost positive they will check for proper functioning high beams. They are 6000K temperature and look amazing at night. Basically, either stick to the Silvania's or get yourself a quality HID kit. Aftermarket bulbs seem to just cause problems and waste money. Hope this helps.

www.ddmtuning.com for HID kits starting at $39.99 plus shipping. I ordered a set of the 9006 for a friends 2008 Civic and they work and look great! I think the Raptor make is the cheapest I've seen. Thought I would pass it on.

Personally I would spend the money for a quality kit. I bought my HID kit from xenongate.com for $100 plus I think 15 for the relay kit. I used a relay kit for my headlights as the stock harnesses seemed rather shitty. I have had no problems with my kit and it passes inspection. I have 5000K Headlights and 3000K Foglights.

Im running high wattage 9004s with no problems, I did have some burn up the harness in my old hardybody, But I got heat resistant plugs online and never had an issue again, I ran these Nokya bulbs in my Civic and my SE-R now
