Definately will not be easy. Couple things first off:

-What is your budget? Hopefully high.
-What are you exactly finishing up?
-Do you already have a motor?

You will be needing a pretty serious amount of power, a way to put it down to the ground, as well as weight reduction.

I believe there has only been a few 9 second SE-R's. It will require a lot of time, money, and effort on your end. I'd start on making a bulletproof longblock first. Then start spending probably over 10,000$ in just turbo parts. Then factor in suspension. Its hard work man. More power to you man.:biggthump

I was going by the first post because I've seen plenty of people who don't post often ask what it takes to run 9's. What does it take to make an AWD conversion? Doing it is definately possible. IIRC, you will need in the 600whp range to try and make it to a low 10. I'm not positive though so don't quote me. I'm trying to get high 10's out of my car this summer as well. I am hoping with 500whp it should be able.

Can anyone recall on Jamie Farrer's car? I think he had a very basic turbo setup. Car laid down some good power and I believe he was using nitrous to get the cars into the 9's. Last numbers I saw from his car were 9.8 in the 1/4. Not sure on the trap speed. Your car should be good for some serious power so find a way to put it all down. 26'' tall slicks.:D

Definitely possible with a 35R, and your particular setup.

Wow is all I have to say. Maybe a VE head would get you more HP?

91-97 SER axles are all interchangeable. 98-99s lost LSD though.

raxles makes some good stuff but idk if they can support that power. traction is going to be the biggest thing

I going to agree with morgan on this one. The traction has been limiting most people on here to stay in the high 10 second bracket and no quicker. So it is possible. Most on the guys that run in that range do not log into the forums-or just plain do not want to give their secrets to their setups out so it will be hard to receive advice in those areas .

im pretty sure your going to need wider then a 8" slick. i spin my slicks all day long and they are 8.5's.

wrong answer, with his setup and cam choice he will make more hp on less boost than a ve will. People with ve heads are having alot of difficulty getting above the 450whp range. The cams are not out there to do this yet. People are still trying to come up with a solution for this. Keep your det and you will be good to go, depending on the weight of your car you can get into the 10s with 400whp. Low 10's with 500whp, my goal with my build that will be done here soon is 450-500whp and be well well into the 10s

lol people besides mazworx. hahahahaha, it seems all the big turbo ve people are not making that much power at all. 450whp has really been the most ive seen. Although it was on a fairly low boost level compared to what you would have to run on a det motor. But as far as for products that are out right now det seems to be the way to go still until some good turbo cams come out for the ve.

i know its deff not hard to make the power to go as fast as you want to. It will be hard for you to keep a healthy drivetrain in the car. Being there first hand seeing Fred Casey go through both driveshaft shop axles and a par transmission. Even more the suspension is key to what will get the time out of the car. But if you have the time and money you can do it. It will just be harder than say a honda on mustang because of the aftermarket backing but if you can get by that just keep working at it and you will get there.
