Did anyone happen to get an underhood shot of my SE-R at any time during the convention?

I thought I took some, but I guess not?! :dunno:

TIA.

 The car isn't with me, I limped it to Morgans432's house (Alex).

Bastids! Oh and I wanted a picture because a friend is asking me about the o2 induction manifold that is on it, and he's in El Paso TX so he can't just come to my hotel and look at it!

BEYOTCHES! :P

The chain oiler popped out of the block and fell into the oil pan, which led to low oil pressure, which in turn started to spin a bearing. It's not really noticeable yet, but I won't know for sure until we drop the motor.

 Why would I lie?!

The car made it all the way from CT to Georgia, then back to Jersey before it acted up on me. Stupid 10w30! Doesn't like 3~4 hour sessions at 90mph, apparently. :squint:

I know right?!

The chain oiler, that piece that sticks out of the block just above the crank gear. THAT came out. Don't know how, don't know why, but it did!

Yeah. Motor is getting pulled just to fix that, which means I'll have plenty time to wire tuck the engine bay if possible, and paint it. Then I can clean everything else up a bit.

Glad I could provide some entertainment  Thanks for the condolences, though. I'm likely going over to Alex's today to drop the upper pan and see what I can see. From what I saw last night, the bearings likely have no inherent damage, and the noise is coming from the metal chain guide with the plastic buffer on it. The top tab for the plastic buffer snapped off, which tells me that A) the squirter for the chain fell out some time ago. B) the chain would slap the chain guide and broke that tab C) the noise is coming from the plastic buffer vibrating against the metal portion of the guide.

I do remember when I first put the motor together, that I had issues with oil pressure and ran the car dry for a good 30~45 seconds, and didn't develop any knock or bearing noise. That was with 0psi of pressure. During the drive home, I never literally had 0 pressure, but did have between 10~25psi of pressure, so I'm sure the ACL's are just fine.

Man I can almost draw you a picture from memory.

Hell I could draw one too, but I'm a horrible artist
