the rear deck speakers I will find somewhere, anyone have any suggestions? The package price for these is 600. will the component 5.25 woofers clear the window?

looks to be a promising setup. the 11ov2 d4's are going for cheap right now but they wouldn't work bridged with the 9.4. i haven't heard they ov's before but i use to own a pair of 11kv2's and they were very musical :). im assuming you have a b13? i know that in my b14 i wasn't able to fit my cdt audio cl61's in the doors because they were way too deep. i would measure your clearance before buying them.

I placed the order, only question I have is if the 5 1/4 speakers fit the stock location. I am not worried about the depth, I just want them to screw in without having to make a plate to hold them. Do I have to make an adapter plate? I heard that the stock door uses a 3"x5" speaker mounted in a 6-1/2" circular plate.

I am using a pdx1.600 to power the sub, and using the NINe.4 to power the speakers.

I'd recommend going with a vented enclosure with a 1.0 cf area. The larger size is optimal for the sub your looking at and that amp combination. A vented enclosure will add more boom to your bass over the sealed setup. I have a 10" Type X with an MRP 1.1000 powering it in a vented enclosure and it thumps hard. The components will definitely be a huge upgrade to your sound quality as well. I'd recommend flush mounting the tweeters in the doors for better acoustics when installing them. Hope this helps.

The DLS components and the nine.4 look like a good choice. I just think that the 11ov2 might be to much sub to run off the rear channels of the nine.4. I would have gone with a SQ10 at most. Better match to the RMS power. Did you talk to any of the guys at ED about your goals/expectations. Ben and Alex are always more than willing to help.

I am using the sub with an alpine pdx1.600. I wouldn't kill my NINe.4

Oh my bad. I didn't catch that. It looks like you might just clear the depth on those components, but I can't say for sure cause I have a B14. BTW I noticed you are in NM. Do you live in ABQ? I live in the NW valley.
