I don't know anything about doing this mod on our cars but I can only assume that all of the results and warnings would apply to our cars as well:

Theory is....sound.... but with FWD ya never know how its really going to act. Kinda like the thoughts of just welding the diff. Id like to try to build a spool for one which would be stronger than just welding. Turning on a fully locked diff/spool can be interesting sometimes it works sometimes it doesnt depends on your style
And I think the last Quaffe is about to leave for its orginal owner's hands here soon...alas...

I have been looking into the diff upgrade too. I found this link somewhere when I was searching the forum. I also ran across one of Greg's posts that said that your car had the RS5F32V trans with the 4.437 final drive from a Sunny Lucino. I haven't figured out where to get one of those or how to make it all work together. I am also not sure about the nismo diff in the link, but check it out and see if it makes sense to you.

^^^ I'm surprised it isn't gone yet either. These only pop-up on the forum once every 2-3 years it seems.

If any of you guys know someone that can do a good job reverse-engineering and fabricating the NisMo unit, let me know. I have access to a new, uninstalled one (no, it's not for sale)... - GA
