Uhmm I don't think so.

Umm, yes. The linkages are different. The high port TB throttle cable attaches to an upper linkage and then a rod connects from that linkage to the throttle body.

The low port throttle cable attaches directly to the TB.

No he has it right. I thought the actuall throttle bodies were the same though. Meaning that off of the motor they would be the same.

I'm not talking abt the difference in the high and low TB but that he has it reverse in his explanation.

Shouldn't it be that the high-port TB is directly connected to the throttle cable, where as, the low-port TB the throttle cable connects to a linkage which has a connecting rod which then goes does and connects to the actual TB.

I have a high-port TB and a friend of mine has a low-port TB and that's how it looks to me......

No,

I think you have got it backwards. The high port throttle body is down low and has a rod linkage from the throttle cable.

The low port throttle body is up high and the cable attaches directly to it.

Yeah it confuses alot people. The low port is up high and the high port is down low.

Ok....I guess what you guys call low port, we out here call it high port.....attached is a link with a picture of the type of engine that I have in my car (don't have any pics of my engine).....

Anyhow....I'm familiar with the differences, just was fooled by the names.

ok think of it this way if the injectors are up high it is high port if the injectors are down low in the head it is low port

The names derive from the relative location of the intake ports in the head.
