I don't even think that the incremental chassis stiffness a Sentra has over a NX2000 (they're both, technically, B13s) matters after you've added a cage anyway.
BTW, the P10 hits over 120mph at Willow Springs and probably 130mph or more at CA Speedway (never really looked, but it's in 5th for a bit).
I've only hit rev limiter in 5th once in an SE-R (my B14), and it took over 400whp and a mile or two of straight, empty, no exits/onramps freeway.

Oh, so you've prepped up an NX and an SE-R to the limit of IT or PT rules and done extensive on-track testing to see which is better. Excellent.:biggthump
Can we see the data?
Whatever bro. The NX is stiffer and more aerodynamic. More so with a hardtop. If you wanna play internet "IM so smart" go ahead Dick.

Scott???
Didn't you know that cutting a gigantic hole in the back of your car for a hatchback and installing a t-top roof not only lightens the car but stiffens it as well?
Man time to get out the sawz all!!!!
With the addition of a proper cage I do not think it even makes a difference.

By the way Scott is a NASA engineer.
Not NASA (the car club) NASA the space shuttle airplane stuff....
He does not need to play the internet I’m so smart game......
He works with data/numbers/facts.
Not I heard etc...

Don't blame me if you make blanket statements and can't back them up.

Did you check this with instruments, or your butt?

You guys are wild, lol. Well all this is great info to consider. How many guys are active right now? Maybe its time to bring the SE-R cup back!!
Personally I'd love to get into something like Spec B13 but something like that would leave out the G20 guys, the B14, and b15 guys. Unfortunately I don't think there are enough b13 racers out there to create a series just for the b13's.
I've seen what has happened with Spec E30, and Spec Miata. There is great competition in those groups.

lol.. Spec Sentra (b13) was dropped about 3 years ago IIRC.. not very likely to be brought back.. (and a huge part of the reason I race my spec miata and just do fun track days and Time Trials with the g20 now)
and there just aren't enough g20s out there on the track (best kept secret?) I have YET to see another out there with me in the midwest area (and I'd love to dice it up with another g20 to see differences, etc.)
Last year Mark White (pro race driver) drove our G20 and loved it. 1st thing he said was that he only could wish the VW he was racing had such nice handling.. 2nd thing he said was that we should get a spec g20 class going.. yeah, that would be nice but just not very likely :(

There's not enough of us to go back to the spec days. I like PT and we have more people to race against. We have a better shot at contingency money and fun with things like they are. We'll be fine if NASA can decide on a rule set. In PTE, I've run against hondas, neons, a ford Probe, a Miata, and some other cars. It's pretty cool. In my experience, the finishing order has typically come down to 1) how well the car was driven regardless of make... and 2) the mechanical condition of the car. I don't think that one make has shown to be an over-dog at this point. Todd is making us look bad in M-A right now but I think it's because he's driving that crap out of that POS Ford product. :-)

WE time Trialed the G20 last year with NASA in TTF but did better lap times than TTE and even some TTC cars so that was interesting.. lol
We'd have to run in TTE to get any kind of contingecny chances though.. We'd like to go after Hoosier contingency in TTE (figuring out what we can do with points as far as lightening, tire size, etc.) so we'll see how it goes.
