I finally got the car back together and went to start it. I have a 95 G20 and i am swapping in the high port engine. When i turn it over it won't go and my plugs are getting flooded with gas. Any clues as to what could be causing this?

Have you checked the ignition?

Do you mean the tips of the plugs have gas on them? If so, way too much gas is getting into your combustion chamber. Maybe your injector o-rings are leaking or your injectors are bad.

I havn't played with it too much yet. I am getting good spark but the plugs are loaded in gas. I never took any of the injectors out of the fuel rail, only took the fuel rail out. It had a bend in it so i had to straighten it back out. By injector O-Rings do you mean the o rings that hold the injector to the rail or the o-rings that are between the injectors and the entry way to the head? I don't see any visible gas except when i take the plug out. I can smell it when i try to start it but dont see it anywhere....

Welcome to JDM my friend. My car has been doing that for quite some time now and I still can't figure it out. Last night I went to Eric96ser's house and we looked at it and still haven't figured it out yet. llaprad1 was there as well. As of now I am going to change the rail with another one that I have and Eric is going to try and get the Vaccuum hose diagram for me. ITs been about 2 or 3 months since I have driven my car.

Well i actually figured out the problem. Well i guess i did. I reversed the feed and excess fuel lines and shot the intake with starting fluid. I got all the gas burnt out of the cylinders and then it wouldn't start anymore. I then reversed the lines again to the right way, and then i started it and it turned over no problem. It started right up and ran pretty good for having no intake or maf or anything and a few sensors unplugged. I'm guessing the FPR was clogged and by reversing the lines, i forced anything in there out. I dunno but it worked. Too bad my god damned air bag light if flashing. Anyone know why it is? I really don't feel like driving it down the road and having them blow in my face. Good luck getting yours working, Aaron. I wish you luck man. BTW, how are you going about your egr system? Did you sweap the USDM intake with the JDM?

As of now I am using the JDM manifold. Did your car actually start with the intake off of it. IF so I believe you have some big problems. Thanks about the motor though, I am going to work on it some more tommorrow.

Yes i had it started with the intake off, not for long but it ran. Why?

They usually will not run with the intake off. Has something to do with the MAF I believe.
