I know that Tsuru's are supposed to be plug and play on 93's, but I cut the plugs off sometime last year while my car was on blocks in the garage. I needed the headlights to replace a broken one on my former (now Rodney's) 92 SE-R. Now I need to know how to wire it up to get lights back on my 93.

My OEM Tsuru's came with 2 headlight plugs, Nissan part # NIMEX-G00CN.
Wires on first plug are:
black with a blue stripe
green with a pink stripe
orange with a black stripe
Wires on second plug are:
orange with a red stripe
orange with a red stripe
orange with a black stripe

Wires on wiring harness in car are as follows:
Drivers side:
red with black stripe
red with yellow stripe
black with silver dots
Passenger side:
red with green stripe
red with blue stripe
black with silver dots

What connects to what for correct hi/low beam usage

Thanks Chris, I saw both of those. I just wanted to be sure my 93 would be the same as the 91-92. Also, my H4 connectors have different wire colors but I'm thinking I can make it work. Worst case, I'd have the high on low and low on high and have to reverse them.

Since both plugs are the same except for wire colors, I'm going to reference the plug on the left:

The black/blue wire goes to the bottom center terminal
The green/pink wire goes to the left terminal
The orange/black wire goes to the right terminal

Any idea which terminals are which?

Time to break out the test light or multimeter!

Happynole,

I ran into this same issue when I wired up Tsuru's in my grey car, the wire colors didn't match the schematic supplied by NPM and the person who put them together used wires of the same color on the same plug. Jeez couldn't they at least make each of the three wires a different color to make it a bit easier

Initially when I wired up the Tsurus I had the Hi and Low wires swapped. The lights still worked but were dim. Once I switched the two wires everything worked fine. I just wanted to put this here, in the remote case my data below does not work out for you (but I did just verify it).

Anyways I just put 93-94 lights in my red car (91) and used my grey car as a guide to wire them up.

I will use this pic you provided as a reference:

The black/blue wire goes to the bottom center terminal
The green/pink wire goes to the left terminal
The orange/black wire goes to the right terminal

Let's not worry about colors or what their respecitve terminal sends a signal to, I will label the wires A, B, C; left to right.

First B (the center wire) is always ground, and that is the Black with Silver dot wire on your car harness.

Driver side:
A goes to Red/Yellow on car harness
B goes to Black/Silver dot
C goes to Red/Black

Passenger side:
A goes to Red/Blue
B goes to Black/Silver
C goes to Red/Green

Hope this helps you out (if you haven't sorted it out on your own), and anyone else who runs into similar issues down the road. :biggthump
