Dude, I haven't made any posts about it yet, but I have the same problem with the b14 rt I just put in my car a little while ago!

Have you tried hooking the OBD2 scanner up before turning the car on? When I was testing a RT for Calum, I had to do a similar thing for my nProbe to show up.

Moving this to Calum's section so he'll see it.

yea i did, I hooked up the scanner enter all the information, then turn key on, hit the button to read codes, then it says no communication. Using snapon scanner. I use it for all other cars and it works fine.

Are you making sure not to have the USB plugged into your laptop at all? If the USB is plugged into a laptop, the odb2 port wont work.

That changes things. I wonder if the OBD2 port is connected then. Using this:

See if you have 12v at the indicated pin, and also check the other pins to see if they match up with the pins on the ECU side.

Yea, I was thinking the same thing. I would walk through the adapter and check and see if the OBD-II pins are done correctly.

So I just gotta check for power rite, which pins in the obd2 port to check, and is this done with the key on?

I didn't get a chance to check the pins yet, but yesterday i shut off my car and it couldnt start. Check the fuse and the engine control 2 fuse was blown, the fuse panel under the dash. Change the fuse car couldnt start, hit the starter car started. need new starter, because that fuse was blown could that effect the communication problem with the obd2 port? Didn't get my hands on a scanner yet.

Ok, I finally check the pins on the obd2 port for 12v. On the top row, 1st pin from the left I checked i got 12v. Second pin I checked on the top row I got 0v.
Now bottom row. 2nd pin from left got 0v.4th pin from left got 0v.5th pin got ground. it says im suppose to have a 6th pin on bottom, I don't have a pin there. Whats next?
